His parents who remained in Taiwan know nothing about his homosexuality and are astonished by his elibacy. They dream of being a grandparent and harass their son about it. Simon then advises Wai-Tung to marry Wei-Wei, a young painter who needs to obtain American nationality. Delighted, the parents want to attend the wedding of their only son. Wei-Wei therefore settles in at Wai-Tung's place while Simon plays the attentive groomsmen. Thanks to the intervention of a friend of the father, the wedding is sumptuous.
