Kate Miller suffers from such vivid erotic fantasies that she finds it difficult to distinguish between dream and reality. One morning, she goes to her psychiatrist, Robert Elliot, to talk to him about her sexual disappointments with her husband. On her way to the museum, Kate seduces a man who takes her to her apartment to spend the night there. The next morning, taking the elevator out of the building, Kate is horribly murdered with a razor cut by a blonde woman wearing big dark glasses. Liz Blake, a high-profile call girl, witnesses the crime: she spotted the razor-sharp killer. The next day, at the police station, meet Dr. Elliot, Peter Miller, Kate's son, and Liz Blake. All suspicion falls on Liz. In the days that follow, the call girl is tracked down by the blonde killer, but Peter manages to save her at the last minute. Kate's son, an electronics specialist, develops a camera that allows him to discover that the killer is a patient of Dr. Elliot. In order to find out the patient's name, Liz tries to charm the psychiatrist to steal her appointment book.
